Job summary

Bitterroot Health in Hamilton, Montana seeks a Medical Ophthalmologist to join our growing ophthalmology practice. This full-time role is open due to retirement of a long-standing ophthalmologist, offering an excellent opportunity to step into an established, well-booked clinic.

We offer a four-day work week, 45 weeks per year, highly competitive compensation with incentive bonuses based on production and patient experience, and comprehensive team support with Nextech EMR.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with ophthalmology residency completed.
• Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
• Eligible for Montana medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive medical eye exams.
• Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of ocular conditions.
• Interpret advanced diagnostic testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Perform in-office procedures such as intravitreal injections and laser treatments.
• Educate patients and families on disease management.
• Collaborate with optometrists and primary care providers.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
