Job Summary

Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a multi‑specialty group in the Sacramento region, is looking to add an Ophthalmologist to our clinic in Folsom.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases.
• Perform surgical procedures, such as cataract surgery, femtosecond laser cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, MIGS, lasers for iridotomies, capsulotomies, and selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT).
• Prescribe and manage appropriate medications and treatments for patients.
• Provide expert advice and counseling to patients regarding their eye health, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including optometrists and primary care physicians, for coordinated patient care.
• Stay updated with advancements in ophthalmology and participate in relevant continuing education activities.

Job Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
• Active medical license to practice in the state of California.
