Qualifications

• Completion of Ophthalmic Technician training required.
• Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary screening examinations for physician review.
• Assist medical staff during examinations and procedures.
• Dispose of contaminated supplies and sterilize instruments.
• Prepare patients for intra-ocular injections.
• Direct the flow of patients examined by an Eye Center physician.
