Highmark Health in Pittsburgh is seeking an Ophthalmology Assistant to support ophthalmologists with diagnostic testing and minor procedures in a busy clinical setting.
The position involves patient intake, routine ophthalmic tests (IOP, motility, visual fields, A-scan, fundus photography, pupillary measurements), and assisting during procedures, plus medication administration, patient education, and scheduling coordination.
Perform a variety of diagnostic test to the eyes to provide information to the ophthalmologist for diagnosis and treatment. Assist the ophthalmologist with diagnostic and treatment oriented procedures and administrative tasks.
Minimum 1-3 years of full time work experience under supervision of ophthalmologic supervision
Preferred JRCOMP approved program for ophthalmology assistants
