Job description

Join Vision Innovation Partners as an Ophthalmic Technician. We seek a certified ophthalmic assistant or technician; on-the-job training is available as you work toward certification. Your primary tasks are to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and administrative tasks.

What You Will Do
  • Take medical histories and verify information
  • Perform visual function and diagnostic tests, such as applanation tonometry, refraction, and retinoscopy
  • Utilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements
  • Inform the ophthalmologist about changes to a patient\'s visual acuity and other vision issues
  • Dilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye exam
  • Explain how to properly use eye drops or other medications
  • Explain how to properly use contact lenses
  • Assist with inventory management

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 an hour. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may include additional benefits (e.g., medical, retirement, vacation) and eligibility for 401(k) and educational reimbursement.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of an ophthalmic assistant or technician program strongly preferred (COA or COT)
  • Experience as an ophthalmic technicianหรือ scribe preferred
  • Experience with EMR tools a plus
  • Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
