Job summary

The Laurel Eye Clinic has an immediate full-time or part-time opportunity at our Clearfield office as an Ophthalmic Technician. This position is based out of the Clearfield office, but candidates must be willing to work flexible hours and travel to provide coverage at other Laurel Eye Clinic locations as needed such as the DuBois and Brookville offices.

Travel benefits are provided. Candidates must be positive, team oriented individuals dedicated to providing excellent patient care.

Qualifications

  • Provides excellent customer service experiences with compassion, dedication and integrity for the patients and visitors of the practice according to the current policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills in a variety of settings and styles, including but not limited to, written, verbal and non-verbal. Practices attentive, active listening and observation.
  • Treats patients, customers and coworkers with respect and empathy. Willing to help, train and participate as a team member while displaying a positive attitude and even temperament.
  • Begins work on time and conforms to work hours and assigned schedule. Limits excessive unscheduled absences and additional unpaid time off, in accordance with the applicable policy. Demonstrates reliability and dependability.
  • Displays a professional appearance and adheres to the dress code policy.
  • Speaks with good purpose, maintains confidentiality and does not participate in gossip and/or negativity.

  • data collection and documentation in EHR

  • chair-side doctor assistance

  • performing diagnostic tests as requested by the doctors


Certified Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician, LPN, medical assistant or individual with medical office experience preferred. Training will be provided. EOE
