Job summary

UCLA Health in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to provide clinical, surgical, aesthetic and administrative support for the Division of Orbital and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery. Performs advanced ophthalmic testing, patient intake, photography, and medication administration; assists with in-office procedures and surgical care; coordinates diagnostic testing and referrals.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of related ophthalmology experience or training.
High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and common visual pathologies.
Knowledge of ophthalmic medications.
Experience with diagnostic equipment and sterilization techniques.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
COA certification preferred.
