Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Photographer to document disease processes using photography and imaging devices across multiple offices in Stow, Kent, and Akron Fairlawn.

You will work with Humphrey Visual Fields and OCT imaging, operate Zeiss and Heidelberg systems, and support patient flow, data entry in EMR/Excel, and coordination with the tech team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with Humphrey Visual Fields, OCTs, angiograms and fundus photos.
  • Able to work in dim lighting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Bring patients from waiting area into photography room.
  • Navigate through an EMR system to verify and document information and upload files/photos.
  • Shoot accurate OCTs on Zeiss and Heidelberg machines.
  • Take fundus photos on Zeiss, Eidon, and Optos cameras.
  • Inject and perform FA's and ICG's on multiple camera systems.
  • Perform visual field and color vision tests.
  • Record patient information in Excel spreadsheets.
  • Troubleshoot camera or machine issues and contact tech support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Job description

As an Ophthalmic Photographer you will be responsible for documenting specific disease processes through photography and other imaging devices as requested by the ordering provider.

Schedule:
  • 7:30am-4pm or 8am-4:30pm
  • Monday through Friday, no weekends
  • Must be willing to travel between our offices, Stow, Kent and Akron Fairlawn as needed.
What you will be doing
  • Bring patients from waiting area into photography room
  • Navigate through an EHR system in order to verify and document information in the EMR system including uploading files and photos to the patients chart
  • Shoot accurate OCT's on both Zeiss and Heidelberg machines
  • Take fundus photos on Zeiss, Eidon, and Optos cameras
  • Inject and perform FA's and ICG's on multiple camera systems
  • Perform a visual field and color vision tests
  • Record patient information in Excel spreadsheets
  • Troubleshoot camera or machine issues and communicate with tech support as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
