• Two years of Ophthalmic Technician experience in an ophthalmology setting.
• JCAHPO certification (COA/COT) preferred.
• High school diploma or GED and some college coursework preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in EMR and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist Clinic Manager in supervising Ophthalmic Assistants and Diagnostic Technicians.
• Perform lensometry and diagnostic testing with basic ocular knowledge.
• Obtain accurate patient history and visual acuities.
• Administer topical ophthalmic medications and perform tonometry.
• Maintain sterilization of surgical instruments and assist with procedures.
• Provide clear post-operative instructions to patients.
