Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduling of appointments, tests, treatments and surgeries; familiar with insurance benefits.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for exams/treatments.
• Take patient histories and vital signs; perform ocular tests and visual assessments.
• Assist in minor ocular procedures; instill ocular medications under physician supervision.
• Record prescriptions and coordinate care with other clinic departments.
