Job summary

Savage is seeking Labor Operators for the Morenci, AZ operation to safely unload incoming sulfur railcars, spot the railcars, and assist with general plant maintenance and cleanup. The role requires working a rotating 5 AM to 5 PM schedule, 12-hour shifts, weekends and holidays, outdoors in all weather, and lifting up to 50 lbs with respirator fit testing.

Qualifications

• MSHA experience and exposure a plus, but not required.
• Valid DL is required to operate in the facility.
• High School Diploma/GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming sulfur railcars and spot sulfur railcars.
• Assist in general maintenance and cleanup of the plant and equipment.
• Operate in outdoor conditions and adhere to safety protocols.

The responsibility of our Labor Operators is to safely and efficiently manage the unloading of incoming sulfur railcars, spot the sulfur railcars, and assist in the general maintenance and cleanup of the plant and equipment at our Morenci, AZ operation.

The Basics:

• Days/Hours: Rotating 5AM to 5M 12 hours – weekends and holidays
• Equipment Used: Railcars
• Material Handled: Sulfur

What you’ll be doing:

Unloading of incoming sulfur railcars, spot the sulfur railcars, and assist in the general maintenance and cleanup of the plant and equipment.

Here is what we need from you:

Here are some of the Physical Requirements:

• Work outdoors year-round in all conditions, able to walk several miles per day, able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance, able to climb/stoop/crawl
• Work on elevated surfaces
