Job summary

Bedrock Energy is hiring a Trainee to support field operations and develop into a full equipment operator. This hitch-based role involves rotating crews across project sites in the United States, with travel, lodging, and per diem provided by Bedrock.

Ideal candidates have 0–1 years of field or outdoor work experience, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn safety SOPs while gaining hands-on skills in geothermal drilling support.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of field-based experience or entry-level training.
• Mechanical, construction, or field-based work preferred.
• Prior exposure to equipment or outdoor operations is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the US.

Responsibilities

• Support general field operations and labor tasks under supervision.
• Learn Bedrock's safety expectations, SOPs, and crew standards.
• Assist in drilling operations tasks: rig-up, staging, cleanup, material handling.
• Observe experienced operators and progressively participate in field tasks.
• Follow directions from Ground Operator, Mud Operator, and Driller.
• Identify and communicate abnormal conditions on the jobsite.
• Build familiarity with Bedrock equipment, tools, and workflows.
• Develop toward promotion through field validation and competency sign-off.

Bedrock Energy is hiring a Trainee to support field operations while developing into a full equipment operator role. This is an entry level field position intended for individuals with strong work ethic, reliability, and learning potential. Trainees are placed on experienced crews for training and validation and are expected to build competency in safety, equipment familiarity, task execution, and field discipline before progressing to Ground Operator.

This is a hitch-based role. Crew work rotations at project sites across the US. Bedrock covers travel to and from site, lodging during your hitch, and provides a per diem for meals.
