Job summary

Lambert's Cable is seeking an Operator Telecom Drill Bores to install underground telecom cables and infrastructure. The role involves determining bore paths, safely operating drill equipment, and maintaining bore schedules on job sites.

You'll work in all weather conditions in Rocky Mount, NC. A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with a valid state license and CDL tanker endorsement (or willingness to obtain). Equal opportunity employer focused on safety and growth.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site setup, clean-up, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
