Responsibilities of an Operator Telecom Construction Equipment

• Safely operate drill equipment on job sites, including but not limited to Directional Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer, Vacuum Truck/Trailer
• Restore or landscape disturbed areas
• Develop and maintain bore schedules
• Set up and clean up the job site
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
• Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before starting construction
• Set safety perimeters with signage, cones, barriers, and sometimes flag traffic
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the US
• Pass background check and drug screening
• Valid Driver's License or Class A CDL with tanker endorsement
• Acceptable MVR record
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant experience

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with heavy equipment preferred
• Experience with drill setup and design preferred
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed
• Availability for overtime, after hours, weekends, emergencies, or on-call
• Knowledge of drilling equipment capabilities and limitations
• Proficient in using locators for utility identification
• Ability to read work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
• Able to climb ladders, machinery, and objects
• Specific vision abilities required; exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, machinery noise
• Willing to travel as needed
• Regular attendance is essential

Physical & Safety Requirements

Must stand, crouch, sit, bend, handle or feel with hands, reach high and low, and perform physical tasks including climbing, balancing, crawling, lifting, and stooping. Work outdoors in extreme weather, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and adverse driving conditions. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for disabilities.

Work Environment & Safety

This position is safety-sensitive. Employees may be exposed to airborne hazards, chemicals, moving machinery, and noise. Work may require long drives, sitting, and working nights, holidays, or weekends. Travel may be required.

Compensation

Hourly wage ranges from $20.00 to $26.00, depending on experience.
