Job summary

Pauley Construction, LLC is seeking an Operator Telecom Construction Equipment to join our team to help connect America. This role involves safely operating drilling and related equipment at job sites, restoring disturbed areas, and maintaining bore schedules.

You will be responsible for site setup, equipment loading/unloading, and ensuring a safety-first approach to all tasks. The position requires ability to pass background checks and drug screening, attendance, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening.
  • Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed.
  • May be required to travel in state or overnight to meet business needs.
  • Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate drill equipment and related machinery (e.g., Directional Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer).
  • Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite.
  • Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
  • Responsible for site setup and cleanup, loading/unloading tools and materials.
  • Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to construction.
  • Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones and barriers; flag traffic as needed.
  • Perform other related laborer duties as assigned.

The Operator Telecom Construction Equipment can operate a variety of equipment, used in installation/repair/maintenance activities associated with underground construction or utilities, in a safe and effective manner.

What You’ll Do
  • You will safely operate drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
  • You will restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
  • You will develop and maintain a bore schedule
  • You will be responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
  • You will load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck
  • You will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis
  • JSA prior to starting construction
  • You will set up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic.
  • Other related laborer duties as assigned.

  • May be required to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed.
  • May include working nights and holidays as needed.
  • May be required to travel in state or overnight as necessary to meet business and job requirements.

  • Employees may be exposed to toxic or corrosive chemicals as well as moving machinery parts and pieces.
  • Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include but are not limited to: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and/or far as needed.

Pay Range: The Operator Telecom Construction Equipment hourly wage range is $20.00 - $30.00, depending on experience.
