Job summary

Nemera in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking an APU Operator I to package molded and assembled components per specifications. You will operate equipment, package and label products, and inspect for defects to meet customer standards.

Role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing most of the shift, and adherence to Lean, GMP and ISO procedures. You will also enter production data and support continuous improvement in a clean, 5S environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand/walk for 90% of shift and perform bending, stooping and reach.
• Vision testing requirements must be satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Operate molding, assembly or packaging equipment per product specs.
• Package and label product per customer specification.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure quality and report defects.
• Enter daily production and scrap data into SAP/BMS.
• Maintain 5S and lean initiatives in the work area.
• Support ISO, GMP and standard work procedures.

Job description

The APU Operator I is responsible for the packaging of molded and/or assembled components per company and customer specifications

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Operate Molding, Assembly or packaging equipment as required per Product specifications.
• Package & label product per customer specification
• Perform visual inspection to identify gross defectsand confirm product meets customer specifications
• Report identified visual defects to Cell Leader
• Enter daily production and scrap data into BMS
• Complete production and workstation documentation as required
• Move products to designated areas in WIP/ airlocks
• Order components through SAP from warehouse, scan WIP components with RF gun (Cell Lead Duties)
• Supply assembly machines with components (Cell Lead Duties)
• Completion of LRPs, including opening and closing of lots, ensuring all paperwork is mistake free.
• Maintain clean workspace and 5S Standards in work areadaily/weekly/monthly
• Maintain Lean initiatives and participate in lean projects
• Provide suggestions and take active role in Process Improvements to eliminate non-value-added activity
• Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety
• Requirements, Continuous Improvement, GMP and standard work procedures
• Other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent (preferred)
• Able to frequently lift up to 50lbs.
• Stand and walk 90% of shift
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab and climb
• Satisfy vision testing requirements of the job

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• Basic math skills
• PC skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Works in a clean manufacturing and warehouse environment that may include moderate noise levels

PAY RANGE:$18.50 USD - $20.00 USD Hourly, if working on a night shift, you will receive a 10% shift differential
