Job summary

Inovar Packaging Group in Aberdeen, SD is seeking a Sheet‑Fed Press Operator for 2nd shift (12:00pm–10:00pm), part-time. You will set up, operate, and maintain sheet‑fed presses to meet specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.

Ideal candidates have experience with sheet‑fed offset or digital presses, a keen eye for color accuracy, and the ability to read job tickets and schedules. Physical stamina and reliability are essential for this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating sheet-fed offset or digital presses, including Heidelberg, Komori, KBA, or similar.
• Strong eye for detail, color accuracy, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and follow job tickets, production schedules, and quality specifications.
• Mechanical aptitude for adjustments and repairs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Team player with strong communication skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sheet-fed printing press equipment to produce jobs according to customer and job ticket specifications.
• Review job orders to determine press setup requirements, including substrates, inks, coatings, and finishing needs.
• Set up the press by loading sheets, installing plates and blankets, adjusting ink and water balance, and ensuring proper registration and color accuracy.
• Monitor the press during runs to maintain consistent quality and make necessary adjustments to ink flow, pressure, and feed.
• Conduct quality checks on printed materials, ensuring adherence to company and customer standards.
• Troubleshoot press and print issues, minimizing downtime and material waste.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and report any major repair needs.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors, production teams, and quality staff to meet deadlines and customer requirements.

Key Objective
