Job summary

Viatris is seeking an Operator for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing on the 3rd shift. The role involves inspecting production, setting up equipment, maintaining a clean work area, labeling and storing products, and documenting batch records.

Training new staff and calibrating equipment are also part of the job. The candidate should have a high school diploma, at least two years of experience, strong mechanical and communication skills, proficiency with Word/Excel/Lotus Notes, and the ability to lift

Qualifications

• Good mechanical, communication, time management, organizational and writing skills
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel and Lotus Notes
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/sit for extended periods
• Ability to wear a respirator and hear alarms; color and defect recognition

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect product and equipment operation; request maintenance when needed
• Assist setup and running of Production equipment
• Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment for inspection
• Ensure proper labeling and storage of products
• Document runs via Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets
• Assist in training new personnel as directed
• Perform calibration on scales, line meters, coating ovens, micrometers
• Coordinate work of other Operators and back up Senior Operator as needed

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Visually inspect the product during operation, observe equipment and process for proper operation, seek maintenance assistance for problems and recommend improvements.
• Assist with the set up and running of Production equipment.
• Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment for inspection as required and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Ensure all products are properly labeled and stored.
• Document material runs via Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets.
• Assist in training new personnel in the manufacturing operation as directed by the supervisor or manager.
• Perform calibration on scales, line meters, coating ovens, micrometers, etc. as instructed.
• Coordinate the work of other Operators and acts as a back up to Senior Operator as directed by the supervisor or manager.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

• HS diploma
• Minimum of two years of experience is required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
• Must possess good mechanical, communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills, and computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel and Lotus Notes. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stoop, climb ladders, or stairs, stand or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to wear a respirator. Ability to hear an alarm. Ability to identify small defects. Ability to distinguish between colors.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is: $58,240.00 -67,000.00 USD. This position is eligible for a 20% shift differential for working 3rd Shift.
