Kaiser Aluminum in Spokane, WA is seekingProduction Team Members to operate machinery and perform manual tasks in a three-area plant (Saw Line, Centerbay, Shipping). You will contribute to continuous operation and work in a team to meet production goals.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED and strong interpersonal skills, with willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends and holidays.

  • Collaborate with team to ensure continuous plant operation and adjust as needed.
  • Move between Saw Line, Centerbay and Shipping based on workload.
  • Comply with safety, quality and environmental regulations.

Job description

  • Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, including spouse and children (no payroll deductions for employee)

  • Pro-rated vacation following probation (begins at 40 hours and increases based on years of service)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production team members are responsible for the production of aluminum alloy products through the operation of various machinery and manual tasks. Necessity of continuous operation demands cooperation, teamwork, close attention to detail, and prompt speed of reaction to events.

The plant is divided into three working areas: Saw Line, Centerbay, and Shipping. Production team members preference into, and typically work daily in these areas. Depending on workload and experience, production team members can move from area to area as required by metal requirements.

The Production Team Member's essential functions include:

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Approximately 100% of the job function is required in the plant/machine shop. There is exposure to loud noises, operating machinery and a manufacturing environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • There will be periods of walking and standing.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance.
  • The employee is regularly required to reach with arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear.
