Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Specialist to oversee receiving, storage, and shipping of raw materials for weekly production. Ensure materials are on hand and enter inventory transactions following GMP standards.

You will maintain inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and support a safe, compliant warehouse environment on a 12‑hour rotating shift. Overtime and allergen handling may be required with comprehensive benefits offered.

Position Brand Description:

Receiving, storage, and shipping of raw materials and packaging components in support of Lilly manufacturing sites (Both US and OUS customers). Ensure materials are available and on hand for weekly production operations and ensure inventory quantities are accurate. Requirement to handle and process materials in inventory system following GMP processes at all times. The position reports to a Leader.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, leading safety initiatives, and working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.
• Execute Cycle Counts - maintain inventory accuracy.
• Execute Inventory Transactions - timely fashion.
• Ensure Inventory Levels for local warehouse are set and maintained appropriately.
• Provide key customers raw materials and components on - time and in full.
• Monitor and if necessary, remove slow moving inventory.
• Manufacturing is never down due to material not being available.
• Maintain learning plan at 100% current.
• Follow and execute policies and procedures impacting warehouse activities.
• Maintain a clean and presentable warehouse.
• Zero items on the Quality backlog.
• Participate on Warehouse Safety Team.
• Drive and own safety improvements for Warehouse.
• Report near misses and unsafe work conditions or behaviors

Minimum Requirements:

• Powered Industrial Truck License (or be willing to receive training to obtain license)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid understanding of quality and corporate policies
• Solid understanding of the importance of and basic requirements of regulatory agencies such as the FDA, EMEA, OSHA and EPA
• Demonstrated solid judgment and initiative.
• Enthusiastic, positive attitude, flexible and willing to work overtime.
• Proactive and self-motivated to support team initiatives and in solving business problems.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time and make decisions regarding prioritization.
• Ability to pick-up / move 40-pound containers.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE corporate and site goals.

Additional Preferences:

• Previous experience with materials handling and inventory management systems.
• Previous warehouse/logistics experience in a GMP environment.

Additional Information:

• This position is a 12-hour shift, follows a 3-2-2-3 rotating shift schedule (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off), covering [Nights/Weekends].
• Overtime and flexibility in shift will be required.
• This role has opportunity for direct interaction with regulatory agencies during site inspections.
• Tasks may require handling hazardous or other dangerous materials.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$17.30 - $34.38

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
