Job summary

Overview

The Fulfillment Shipper role plays a critical role in providing an unsurpassed customer experience, ensuring that all customer orders will arrive on time, with 100% accuracy. You will master the order fulfillment process from start to finish including the picking and shipping processes.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; food and beverage manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 2+ years in shipping/packing role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to follow work instructions, as well as Safety, Quality, and Company policies
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to operate basic warehouse machinery, forklift, wave, palletizer, pallet jack etc.
  • Ability to work around and with hand-held, manual, and moving equipment i.e., conveyors, case packing, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
  • Ability to use a tape gun, box cutter, and other small tools
  • Ability to use computers, scanners and order-picking software
  • Ability to recognize number sequences, lot numbers, date codes, and other data visually and accurately
  • Ability to visually detect, identify, and effectively communicate product deviations to lead or manager
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision as well as work in a diverse, fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and take on assignments as required
  • Ability to interact well with other staff members and in alignment with the company’s overall goals
  • Ability to have a positive, can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and be reliable and punctual
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position works in a food manufacturing environment and requires the ability to adhere to all GMP, Food Safety, workplace safety and security policies including wearing required personal protective equipment, as well hair net, beard net, gloves, as required. Employees will be responsible for shipping & receiving both frozen and shelf-stable items as well load and pull stock from a -10-degree walk-in freezer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand on concrete floors for 8 plus hours a day.
  • Ability to continually bend, stoop, reach.
  • Ability to maneuver full pallet loads utilizing a pallet jack.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and fingers, walk, stand on concrete floors, regularly lift up to 35 lbs, and occasionally lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Process Fishbowl orders using shipping software to fulfill all customer orders in full and on time.
  • Report all issues to the Team Lead that will compromise the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of the order.
  • Communicates with Quality whenever product defects are observed.
  • Ensures all supplies required in the shipping process are available, and properly organized and whenever stock levels drop below minimum order quantities alerts the Team Lead for re-ordering.
  • Understanding Department Procedures for Warehouse/Fulfillment.
  • Maintain food safety and food quality by completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
  • Answers the door when the bell rings.
  • Loading/unloading trucks including end-of-day UPS trucks and ensuring all outbound pallets are wrapped.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts as requested.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to possess and maintain a valid forklift license issued by the company.
  • Communicate with the department lead and manager about department needs and observations.
  • Attends all required training relevant to the job provided either internally or externally.
  • Other duties as requested by the Team Lead or Management may include picking, printing daily shipping orders, inventory counts, and ordering shipping supplies.
Salary Range

$23.50 - $25.00 per hour plus 7.5% potential bonus
