Overview

Manufacturing Operator position involving setting up and running machines, handling metal products, and adhering to safety and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Utilize proper handling procedures to ensure metal products are not damaged.
• Ensure all material is properly identified.
• Report any non-conforming metal products.
• Set up and run machines to complete the required process.
• Work safely and use proper PPE at all times.
• Follow company rules, regulations and procedures.

• Ability to understand and interpret order requirements.
• Detail-oriented; ability to follow procedures and complete paperwork as required.
• Good math skills with proficiency in precision measurements.

• Ability to use tape measures and micrometers.

• High School Diploma / GED. Technical degree preferred.
• 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (minimum of 2 years required).

Equipment Knowledge

• Working knowledge of machinery used in the metals industry (Burn Tables, Plasma Cutting Tables, Shear Machines).
• Familiar with ISO 9000 (a plus).
• Operate forklift / crane a plus – must pass evaluation before working independently.

Physical Demands

• Standing for long periods of time.
• Bending, stooping, and pushing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (22.7 kg) occasionally, with frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. (11.3 kg).
