Job summary

Abbott is hiring an Operator II for the St. Paul Tech Center in Minnesota. You will work under supervision performing routine assembly tasks including casting, coating, mechanical assembly, and packaging of electrophysiology devices. You will inspect parts with microscopes, patch defects, and ensure documentation accuracy.

Overtime may be required; lifting up to 25 pounds is needed. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 2+ years in medical device assembly. An AA degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two+ years of relevant training/experience in medical device assembly.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be able to lift up to ~25 pounds and work overtime.
  • Microscope experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Casting/Coating functions and inspect for bubbles, nicks, and epoxy.
  • Assemble, bond, coat, and process medical devices and related parts using microscopes and tools.
  • Locate and correct problems by visually inspecting devices and components.
  • Repair devices and components using microscopes and tools.
  • Perform Packaging functions and review device documentation for completeness and accuracy.
