Job summary

Inframark is seeking an Operator II Water/Wastewater to operate and maintain equipment at small to medium facilities. A state C wastewater/c water license is required, and a valid CDL may be preferred.

The role involves routine testing, data recording, and responding to emergencies. You will work with clients and ensure site security and cleanliness, with shifts including weekends and on-call hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of water/wastewater experience.
• Valid Driver's License; CDL preferred.
• Water/Wastewater Operator's License required per state/site.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet applications.
• Ability to follow manuals and operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment and machinery, including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, and vehicles.
• Conduct routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance of production wells and water/wastewater facilities.
• Record daily flow, chemical usage, and related data.
• Respond to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
• Provide customer service functions as needed.
• Ensure the security and cleanliness of treatment plant facilities and grounds.
• Communicate with clients and customers regarding routine technical aspects of operations.
• Coordinate maintenance activities within the treatment facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on-call.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate a variety of equipment and machinery, including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, and vehicles.
• Conduct routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance of production wells and water/wastewater facilities.
• Perform and document treatment processes and maintenance activities to ensure proper operations . Record daily flow, chemical usage, and related data.
• Respond to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
• Provide customer service functions as needed.
• Ensure the security and cleanliness of treatment plant facilities and grounds.
• Communicate with clients and customers regarding routine technical aspects of operations as needed.
• Coordinate maintenance activities within the treatment facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on-call.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of water/wastewater experience.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred). Water/Wastewater Operator's License is specific to state and site-specific requirements. Other licenses may vary by site and assignment.

Technical: Ability to follow manual and operating instructions. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet applications. Basic knowledge of water/wastewater operations and working knowledge of electrical components.

Communication: Communicates clearly and professionally. Contributes to a positive internal and external customer experience. Maintains composure in challenging situations.
