Job summary

Sirio Nutrition (California) LLC seeks a production operator for its Rowland-area facility. The role requires a high school diploma and up to six months in a GMP/FDA setting. You will operate tablet, capsule, and coating equipment and support multiple machine centers.

  • Ability to operate basic manufacturing equipment and follow SOPs.
  • Willingness to learn and train on additional equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines (tablet, capsule, coating pans, blenders) and monitor production.
  • Support other machine centers during breaks and cleaning tasks.
  • Assist in training new employees on machine operation.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance and lubrication tasks.
  • Prepare containers for product storage or shipment.
  • Maintain equipment and tooling, and document records as required.
  • Ensure product quality by monitoring weight, thickness, hardness and defects.
  • Report process or equipment issues to supervisor and follow SOPs.

How will you contribute:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to:



  • Operate machine(s) (i.e Tablet, Capsule, Coating Pans, PK Blenders, Ribbon Blenders, Weighing).

  • May be able to support other machines centers (i.e. break relief, cleaning, basic operation)

  • Able to assist in training of new employees on machine operation

  • Trained on various auxiliary equipment (i.e. Inspection Belts, Hobart Mixer, Sweco, Comil, Fitzmill)

  • Basic Troubleshooting and Problem Solving skills during production runs.

  • Rudimentary Preventative Maintenance functions including lubrication.

  • Prepares containers for product storage or shipment.

  • Monitors machine and makes adjustments as appropriate.

  • Tear down, Clean and Setup machines and rooms as needed.

  • Maintain, inspect and properly store equipment and tooling.

  • Ensure batch records, equipment log books, and other relevant records are current and record information as required.

  • Monitors product quality such as Weight, Thickness, Hardness, Friability, Fitness, and for visual or organoleptic defects.

  • Reports process and equipment problems to supervisor.

  • Follows established department SOP's, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions.

  • Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.

  • Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.

  • Perform other job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.



QualificationsMinimum Requirements/Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate; and

  • Minimum six (6) months of work experience in a fast-paced GMP/FDA regulated environment or relatable industry; or

  • Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.



Work Environment:


  • May involve exposure to allergens such as Soy, Wheat, Fish, Shellfish, Milk, Egg, Tree Nuts and Sesame.

  • Lifting limitations for this position: 30-50 lbs. May have to manipulate heavier containers.
