Job summary

Cencora, in partnership with American Health Packaging, seeks a packaging technician to support repackaging operations in the US. You will load, set up, and run packaging machines, adhering to SOPs and batch records to ensure quality and compliance.

The role requires basic math, strong teamwork, and good communication. Expect a 3:00pm–11:30pm shift with a $21 hourly wage plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus and standard benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand English.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and prepare repackaging material and equipment for production run.
  • Set up/changeovers for packaging machines per SOPs and work instructions.
  • Operate packaging equipment and troubleshoot per standards.
  • Follow escalation protocol when troubleshooting fails.
  • Repackage raw materials into finished products within specs.
  • Coordinate with maintenance for mechanical issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the production area.
  • Record batch information and perform basic math for production runs.
  • Engage in training and adhere to cGMP and safety rules.
  • Support continuous improvement to boost efficiency.

Job Details

This role is in support of American Health Packaging, a Cencora business offering pharma packaging services in the US

$2,000 SIGN ON BONUS

Shift: Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm

Pay $21.00 not including shift differential

Responsibilities
  • Verify and prepare repackaging material and equipment for production run
  • Responsible for packaging machine set up/ changeovers for production runs. This includes following work instructions for equipment set up/ changeovers and following all work standards and SOPs
  • Responsible for operating packaging equipment, including troubleshooting and making adjustments in accordance with work standards.
  • Responsible for following escalation protocol in a timely manner when troubleshooting efforts fail.
  • Responsible for repackaging raw material into finished product that are within packaging specifications and meet all quality standards.
  • Responsible for working alongside of maintenance when escalation to maintenance support is needed for a mechanical issue
  • Responsible for production room and equipment cleans/sanitation
  • Has a thorough understanding of batch record information and using basic mathematical skills, records and prepares accurate and complete information.
  • Responsible for being actively engaged in all technical training, as well as compliance and other training required as a member of the operations team.
  • Adheres to all cGMPs, safety regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintains good housekeeping throughout the shift in the work areas.
  • Works as a team member with other members of the AHP operations team to meet and/or exceed quality and production goals.
  • Responsible for being an active participant in continuous improvement activities to promote improved efficiency and effectiveness of the production line.
  • Work in partnership with supporting areas, such as quality to resolve issues that prevent the operations from achieving its goals.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Education

Requires completion of a high school diploma OR GED

Work Experience

Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language for the purpose of reading documents, product labels and instructions.
  • Must have good written skills for the purpose of accurately completing compliance documentation for production runs.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others and work in a team based environment.
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.
  • Ability to use good judgment in order to carry out detailed instructions.
  • Basic problem solving capabilities for the purpose of troubleshooting issues in the production environment.
  • Ability to work overtime when needed
