Job summary

AMMEGA in Beacon, New York is seeking an Operator I to run manufacturing equipment according to specifications. This entry-level production role reports to the Production Supervisor and is part of the Production Team. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m.

to 7:00 a.m., with overtime on weekends. A day in the life includes creating a safe work environment, ensuring quality, and working with the team to set up and monitor machines. Forklift experience and strong communication are valued.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe work environment by following safety procedures.

• Read and communicate Process Route Sheet for job requirements.
• Operate machines per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping and area organization.
• Communicate quality and safety issues to supervisor.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Operate forklift to move material.

A day in the life of an Operator I can look like

• Creating a safe work environment by ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
• Managing the production process to ensure product meets quality specifications.
• Working as a team to efficiently set up and monitor production of machines.
• Reviews production schedule and verifies expectations of the shift
• Reads and communicates Process Route Sheet to determine specific requirements of the job
• Operate machines according to Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintains housekeeping and organization of assigned area
• Communicates quality and safety issues to supervisor immediately
• Complete other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
• Operate forklift to move material
