Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Lead and mentor team members in senior/lead roles.
  • Coordinate production activities and support problem-solving.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and quality requirements.
  • Work 6am–6pm on a 2-2-3 schedule and adapt to overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Eli Lilly is expanding its manufacturing capabilities through a new $1 billion state-of-the-art campus in Concord, North Carolina, focused on injectable medicines, device assembly, and packaging operations.

Operators play a key role in producing life-changing medications by operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting advanced manufacturing equipment in a highly regulated environment.

Senior and Lead Operators provide additional leadership by coordinating production activities, mentoring team members, and supporting operational problem-solving.

Experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or a related technical environment.

Ability to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment.

Knowledge of or ability to work within GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulated environments.

Experience using electronic systems, including electronic batch records and manufacturing software.

Education, Experience, and Skills

We have several levels open for Operator which are based on the experience and education you bring.

Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED

Visa Sponsorship: Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role, including but not limited to F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, or L-1.

Ability to effectively communicate (electronically, written and verbal) Flexibility - the ability to troubleshoot and triage challenges Computer proficiency (desktop software, MS office). A valid driver\'s license Must pass a vision exam and be free of color blindness Must be equivalent to 20/20 correctable close vision acuity Time Commitments and Work Authorization Must Pass a "fitness for duty" physical exam In operation, must have the ability to work 6am to 6pm on a 2-2-3 schedule Ability to work overtime as required Ability to wear safety equipment (glasses, shoes, gloves, etc.) Ability to work and gown in a cleanroom (Grade C, ISO 8) environment. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

Experience with, completion of, or understanding of: (Senior and Lead roles)

Leadership and the ability to train / educate team members STEM degree or certifications Aseptic filling, single use assemblies, isolator technology. Automated, semi-automated, and/or manual inspection. Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs) Experience in operations or manufacturing environments. Pharmaceutical, medical device or food processing industries Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release. Continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma methodologies) Highly automated equipment (inspection, packaging, filling, assembly, etc) SAP, Electronic Batch Records

Compensation

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $18.02 - $35.43 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
