Aerotek in Wichita, KS is seeking a Saw Operator for 2nd or 3rd shift to operate plate and bar saws and cut aviation-grade metals to precise customer specifications in a warehouse setting.

This role focuses on operating industrial saws to cut metal materials to precise customer specifications in a warehouse environment. The Saw Operator works primarily with aviation-grade and some marine-grade metals, uses band saws and metal saws, and handles materials with forklifts and other material‑handling equipment. This position offers 2nd shift (2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.) and 3rd shift (10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.) opportunities in a hands‑on, production‑focused setting.

The role involves extensive standing, frequent use of hands and arms, bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and balancing. Close vision is important for measuring and inspecting materials. The work requires frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds, and regularly pushing or pulling 25–50 pounds. Saw Operators work on 2nd shift (2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.) or 3rd shift (10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.), using band saws, metal saws, Metlsaw equipment, forklifts, cranes, and precision measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, nibblers, and calipers in a production‑focused environment.
This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, KS.
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58240.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
