Ascend Performance Materials is hiring Operator Associates for the Pensacola site. The base schedule is 12‑hour rotating shifts, Sunday through Saturday, with overtime as needed. New hires must serve a minimum of their first three years on the site’s Fire Department.
Some roles may be used site-wide as needed. Operators perform varied tasks, require adherence to safety, and involve data entry, basic maintenance, and shift reporting.
There are several job openings for an Operator Associates team at the Pensacola site. The base work schedule is 12-hour rotating shifts, Sunday through Saturday with overtime as required. Personnel may be utilized across the site on an “as needed” basis. All new Operator Associates are required to serve a minimum of their first three years on the site’s Fire Department.
The hiring process will consist of the following steps: Step -- Applicants who meet the minimum job requirements—including completing the Florida Ready to Work Academic Employability Skills Assessments and earning a Level 3 or higher on all three modules—including given priority when selecting candidates for an onsite interview. Step 2– If a candidate is offered a position, they must successfully complete a physical assessment, background screening and pre‑employment drug screen.
Operators perform a variety of both physical and mental tasks that may vary depending on the assigned unit. Some of the more typical responsibilities include:
Physically able to lift 50 pounds and move 30-55 gallon drums, Motor coordination as well as eye, hand and foot coordination, and Ability to stoop, bend, squat/crouch and climb stairs frequently.
