Job summary

Novolex in Greensboro, NC is hiring a Machine Operator Associate to operate packaging machines safely and efficiently on a 2x3x2 schedule.

Shifts are 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am with rotation every 10 weeks; compensation $17.71-$22.38 per hour. Text to apply: 928-668-6539.

You will troubleshoot, adjust machines, inspect product quality, maintain records, and follow safety standards.

Qualifications

• Manual dexterity and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Operates machines safely at or above standard levels of operation.
• Troubleshoots and corrects machine-related problems with adjustments.
• Provides innovative solutions for production issues.
• Mentors less experienced personnel.
• Completes end-of-shift paperwork including crew/time/production.
• Inspects products for defects and adjusts processes to fix causes.
• Adheres to housekeeping, safety, and standard work guidelines.
• Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and effective written/verbal communication.

Compensation:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Consistently and safely operates machines at or above standard levels of operation including waste, quality, efficiency and utilization
• Trouble shoot, identify and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine
• Provide innovative solutions for production issues
• Provides support and guidance to less experienced personnel
• Completes appropriate end of shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities
• Able to inspect and recognize defective product and make machine adjustments to correct cause of defects
• Observes all housekeeping, standard work and safety guidelines
• Mechanical aptitude, demonstrated problem solving skills and effective communication skills - written and verbal are required
