Nucor Fastener Indiana in St. Joe, IN is seeking a Forming Operator to operate boltmakers and manufacture bolts and parts. You will perform set ups, change-overs, and machine adjustments, while interpreting prints and inspecting parts for quality.

Safety is emphasized, with duties including maintaining housekeeping standards. Minimum qualifications include a valid driver's license for industrial equipment and a high school diploma; forklift/crane experience is preferred. This is a 3pm-11pm shift.

Qualifications

• The Forming Operator operates boltmakers to manufacture bolts and parts, performs set ups and adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Operate boltmakers and perform set ups, change-overs, and machine adjustments using pneumatic tools and jib cranes.
• Interpret product prints and conduct part inspections to ensure quality.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Pay

Our compensation structure is based on a pay-for-performance. Pay-for-performance means your pay is determined by how much of a product you produce or contribute to making. Average pay is $50 per hour plus our comprehensive benefits package .

Shift

Hours are 3pm - 11pm and can vary based on staffing and business needs including overtime, holidays, and weekends.

Basic Job Functions

The Forming Operator is responsible for operating boltmakers to manufacture quality bolts and parts, performs set ups, change-overs, and completing machine adjustments using pneumatic tools and jib cranes. Our Operator interprets product prints and completes part inspections to ensure quality. Additional job duties will include any other tasks assigned by the department supervisor.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver's license for operating industrial mobile equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous forklift & crane operating experience
• Familiarity with forming equipment and the forming process
