Job summary

Aspire Bakeries LLC in Swedesboro, NJ, is hiring an Operator 2, Bakery- Packing to support daily packaging operations, ensuring products are packed accurately, safely, and efficiently. The position features a 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM and an hourly pay rate of $21.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Able to read and follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete required documentation.
• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical duties including lifting up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform packaging, labeling, palletizing, and related production activities to meet daily production requirements.
• Operate packaging equipment and assist with adjustments and changeovers.
• Verify packaging accuracy, coding and labeling requirements for compliance.
• Conduct food safety and quality checks including metal detector verification and temperature monitoring.
• Complete production documentation, logs, and system entries accurately and on time.
• Support inventory and movement of packaging materials; ensure a safe, clean work environment.

About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery- Packing to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 2, Bakery-Packing, you will be accountable for supporting daily packaging operations and ensuring products are packed accurately, safely, and efficiently. This role is critical to maintaining product quality, food safety compliance, and smooth production flow while contributing to operational performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Shift: 3rd
• Hours: 10:00 PM- 6:30 AM

Compensation

• Hourly Pay Rate: $21

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)

• Perform packaging, labeling, palletizing, and related production activities to meet daily production requirements.
• Operate packaging equipment and assist with routine adjustments and product changeovers.
• Verify product quality, packaging accuracy, coding, and labeling requirements to ensure compliance.
• Conduct required food safety and quality checks, including metal detector verification and temperature monitoring.
• Complete production documentation, logs, reports, and system entries accurately and on time.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of packaging materials and support product movement using material handling equipment as authorized.
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing, production, or packaging experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to learn company systems and complete required documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely perform physical job duties, including team-assisted lifting of up to 100 lbs., frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and working in cold-temperature environments.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience working in food manufacturing or bakery operations.
• Experience using manufacturing, production, inventory, or warehouse management systems.
• Knowledge of GMPs, food safety programs, and quality compliance requirements.
