Press Operator, 1st Shift, Plant 1

AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Press Operator to be located in Crossville, TN. Reporting to the Press Supervisor.

JOB DUTIES

• Perform quality inspection of tile and report defects.
• Communicate defects on the containment board and to the next shift.
• Operate two presses and two dryers if necessary.
• Clean presses at the end of the shift and underneath roller tables.
• Wash dies as needed.
• Obtain green samples and check tile thickness to ensure tile is in spec.
• Assist other operators as needed.
• Assist mechanics as needed.
• Complete 5S, LPAs, and 30‑minute check sheets, and any other necessary paperwork.
• Use Gemba board to effectively communicate issues.
• Recognize issues with production and correct or notify appropriate employees.
• Communicate effectively with co‑workers, supervisors, and other departments.
• Work on Kaizen for continuous improvement.
• Follow safety guidelines and company standards, utilizing personal protection equipment as required.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
• Perform any other duties that may be required or assigned.
