Job summary

Sibelco Group in SP Schoolhouse is seeking a Production Operator to ensure installations perform the required operations and deliver (semi-)finished products to specification. You will monitor equipment, handle adjustments, run quality checks and support maintenance activities.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to procedures; previous experience in a similar production role and basic technical English are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Lower degree in high school or equivalent by experience.
  • Prior experience in a similar role.
  • Technical English – Read and comprehend.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and adjust the installations according to procedures and policies; operate pumps and open/close taps.
  • Fixes alerts.
  • Analyze and perform multiple quality checks of the products to meet process requirements.
  • Identify non-conformities and address others to ensure quality products.
  • Control the amount of products produced by an installation.
  • Carry out auxiliary tasks to the production process as directed.
  • Perform small maintenance and assist maintenance technicians and electricians in larger tasks.
  • Coordinate with weighbridge operators and bagging operators to ensure continuous production.
  • Enter all relevant production data into the IT system.
  • Ensure use of PPE and safeguard it per safety policy.

Job Description:
Role Purpose:
  • Ensure the installations perform the desired operation(s) according to the existing procedures and policies as well as monitor the installations in order to guarantee the delivery of a (semi-)finished product in accordance with the specifications
Responsibilities:
  • Handle and adjust the installations according to the existing procedures and policies. Serves pumps, open and closes taps, etc

  • Fixes alerts

  • Analyse and perform multiple quality checks of the respective products in order to meet the requirements of the process

  • Identify non-conformities throughout the production process and address other employees to ensure qualitative products

  • Control the amount of products produced by an installation

  • Carry out auxiliary tasks to the production process, according to the orientations of the procedures and their superiors

  • Performs small maintenance activities and assists the maintenance technicians as well as electricians in large maintenance activities

  • Works in conjunction with weighbridge operators, bagging operators etc when needed to ensure continuous production

  • Put all relevant production data into the required IT system

  • Ensure the use of personal protective equipment and take responsibility for its safekeeping and conservation as provided in the safety policy manual

About you:
  • Lower degree in high school or equivalent by experience

  • Prior experience in a similar role

  • Technical English – Read and comprehend
