The Operator will support production activities in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment by operating machinery, performing basic assembly and inspection tasks, and contributing to a safe and efficient workflow. This role requires hands‑on work with production equipment and materials, attention to detail, and the physical ability to handle routine manufacturing duties.

Responsibilities
  • Operate production machinery safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
  • Perform general production tasks, including basic assembly and inspection of parts and products.
  • Monitor machines during operation to identify irregularities, defects, or malfunctions and report issues promptly.
  • Conduct visual and manual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Follow established production processes, work instructions, and safety procedures at all times.
  • Handle materials and components, including lifting items up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient operation.
  • Use required personal protective equipment, including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Support continuous improvement by following best practices and suggesting ideas to improve quality, safety, and productivity.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility designed for comfort and safety. Team members use personal protective equipment, including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel‑toe (safety) shoes, while working around production machinery. The standard schedule is a first shift, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional additional hours as needed. The environment emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a productive and secure workplace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Story City, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
