Job summary

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Two (2) to Five (5) years industrial manufacturing experience in a precision product environment.
  • Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret drawings and other technical information. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must have knowledge of industrial press manufacturing machines as well as measuring and gauging tools.

Responsibilities

  • Operate high speed Minster press, Komatsu Servo press, Mackey Bowley hydraulic press.
  • Read drawings and engineering instructions, and follow related control documents.
  • Configure equipment, feed material onto equipment, and manage die operations.
  • Measure and qualify finished parts using gauging tools and paperwork.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and assist with training as directed by supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY

Fabrication, testing and assembly of precision safety devices made from metal. Other duties include stockroom, product marking, product and component cleaning, facility housekeeping, process equipment maintenance and shipping.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Reliable attendance is required in order to support customer schedules.
  • Using manual, semi-automated or automated presses to perform work on metal materials to create precision pressure relief safety devices manufactured in progressive die sets.
  • Operate high speed Minster press, Komatsu Servo press, Mackey Bowley hydraulic press, and associated test equipment.
  • Configuring equipment, feeding material onto the equipment and feeding material through the die, removing parts from the die, and ensuring segregation of scrap material for recycling.
  • Measuring and qualifying finished product.
  • Completing paperwork and documents associated with each order.
  • Manufacture products from work orders, drawings, engineering instructions and other related control documents.
  • Follow requirements set forth from the Engineering & Quality Departments
  • Help and train other personnel as directed by Supervisor.
  • Observes safety rules.
  • Suggests methods to improve efficiency and safety on the shop floor.
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly.
OTHER FUNCTIONS

Performs other duties as assigned.
