Calderdale Council's Green Spaces and Street Scene Service is recruiting an operative for street cleansing. You will carry out sweeping, litter picking and bin emptying across Calderdale to keep streets clear.
You will need to manage your own workload and routes with strong organisational skills, work outdoors and be prepared for weekend shifts with enhanced pay. The post offers a full training package and PPE.
The Green Spaces and Street Scene Service is responsible for maintaining the beautiful borough of Calderdale. This includes looking after our parks and open spaces, play areas, countryside and woodlands, and ensuring that the streets are kept clear of litter and that public litter bins are emptied.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our service and be part of a team that is responsible for keeping the streets clean. You will carry out tasks such as sweeping, litter picking and emptying public litter bins safely and in line with service requirements.
You will be required to manage your own workload and designated routes and be able to demonstrate strong organisational and interpersonal skills. You should be competent in working in an outdoor environment and have a flexible approach to the role as you will be operating throughout Calderdale.
You will be expected to work every Saturday and Sunday for which you will receive enhanced pay.
