Job summary

Continental Battery Systems in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a Warehouse Associate I to support shipping, receiving, and battery maintenance in a fast-paced environment. The role pays $19.75 per hour, is full-time and non-exempt, with typical shifts from 7 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday and occasional weekends.

You will safely recover used batteries, perform installations, handle inventory, and may assist with deliveries to strengthen customer relationships while upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a Warehouse Associate preferred.
• Forklift driving, pallet jack, and light industrial truck skills required.
• Familiarity with HAZCOM safety procedures and inventory tracking.
• Clean driving record; basic ERP knowledge (NetSuite preferred).

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver a high-quality customer experience while increasing profitable sales of Company products and services.
• Assist retail customers and perform battery installations.
• Load and offload vehicles, prepare shipments, and maintain a clean, safe warehouse.
• Label products, perform battery charging, and complete reconditioning.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate documentation.
• Occasionally perform 'hot-shot' deliveries to support customer relationships.
• Train personnel on mastered processes and procedures.
• Perform facility and equipment maintenance tasks.

Job Title: Warehouse Associate I Location: Kissimmee, FL Pay Rate: $19.75/hour Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Schedule: Commonly an 8-hour shift scheduled between 7 AM and 6 PM, Monday-Friday with occasional weekends.

General Description:

A person in this position is responsible to safely recover used batteries, perform customer installations, and perform warehouse tasks associated with shipping, receiving, loading, inventory control, and battery maintenance . This role records the successful processes and procedures required to carry out all functions . The employee may also perform occasional deliveries to support the customer relationship . Experience with safe forklift driving practices and material handling equipment and processes is significant .

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely deliver a high-quality customer experience while increasing profitable sales of Company products and services .
• Assist retail customers and perform battery installations .
• Load and offload vehicles, prepare shipments, and ensure the warehouse is orderly, safe, and clean .
• Label products, perform battery charging, and complete reconditioning .
• Perform inventory cycle counts, complete counts, and maintain accurate documentation of all inventory transactions .
• Perform occasional "hot-shot" deliveries to maintain relationships, which includes delivering products, picking up used batteries, and replenishing consignment products for customers .
• Train personnel on mastered job processes, techniques, and procedures .
• Perform assigned facility and equipment maintenance tasks .

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required . A 3.0 or higher GPA is preferred .
• Experience as a Warehouse Associate is preferred .
• Advanced knowledge of courteous and safe forklift driving procedures, and skill in operating manual pallet jacks and light industrial trucks .
• General knowledge of HAZCOM safety procedures, inventory tracking, safe material handling, and EHS methods .
• Maintains an excellent driving record .
• Basic knowledge of ERP applications, with NetSuite being preferred .

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

This is primarily a non-stationary position working in a non-temperature-controlled environment .

Significant physical strength and physical resilience are imperative, along with the visual and mental alertness required to safely drive and operate in hazardous locations .

Must be able to frequently walk, stand, squat, and perform extended reaching .

Occasionally required to carry products weighing up to 125 lbs across diverse conditions, and participate in group lifts for heavier weights .

Required to push pallets or wheeled carts with product weighing over 3,000 lbs .

Will be provided and must wear safety-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and a Company uniform .
