• Support Engineering, Project Management, and Logistics with coordination, shipping, and asset tracking; process overhead orders in SAP.
• Coordinate fleet maintenance, inspections, licensing, assignments, pooled vehicle usage, and disposition; verify driver training completion.
• Review procedures annually and develop documentation to support requirements and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, asset management standards, and operational guidelines.

The Role

The Operations Technician II coordinates LTGSI fleet vehicles, tools, and test equipment to support operational readiness, asset accountability, and field operations.

The Main Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for fleet vehicles, tools, and test equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate repair, maintenance, and calibration activities.
• Issue and receive tools and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Support Engineering, Project Management, and Logistics teams with equipment coordination, shipping, and asset tracking. Process approved overhead orders through SAP and corporate purchasing procedures, providing status updates as needed.
• Coordinate fleet vehicle maintenance, inspections, licensing, assignments, pooled vehicle usage, and vehicle disposition activities. Verify completion of required driver training and recurring refresher courses.
• Review existing procedures annually and develop new documentation to support operational requirements and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, asset management standards, and operational guidelines.

What We Look For In a Candidate

• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in fleet management, inventory control, logistics, operations support, or a related field.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work in limited weather-exposed conditions when required.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Experience supporting inventory management, fleet operations, or asset tracking programs.
• Familiarity with equipment maintenance, calibration, and logistics coordination processes.

Security Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be eligible to access classified information and successfully complete a government security investigation.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$63,954 - $85,272 in these states: VA
