Job summary

Luminant in Monahans, Texas is seeking an Operations Technician to perform operations tasks and preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure proper functioning of gas plant equipment under site management.

You will troubleshoot, document, assist in repairs, and conduct preventive maintenance while promoting safe, reliable operation. The role requires strong communication, adherence to safety procedures, and ability to work with plant management. Monahans location on-site position.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years related experience in plant operations or maintenance.
• Tier 2 completion within primary skill for performance measures.
• High School diploma or GED required; state license may be required.
• Computer basic skills and effective verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance, overhauls, calibration, troubleshooting, repair or replacement and removal/installation of plant equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and document issues, assist in resolving problems on shift with peers and supervisors.
• Develop and follow plant operating procedures; ensure safe and compliant operations.
• Conduct safety practices including Lockout/Tagout, JSA, Confined Space, Hot Work and PPE usage.
• Operate material handling equipment and support plant management in equipment decisions.

This position is responsible for the proper function and maintenance of equipment at a Gas Plant for the Gas fleet.
