Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming product and determine pass/fail per specs.
• Attach protective tape and prepare areas for coating.
• Blaste areas to be coated and re-tape as needed.
• Transport and move products using pallet jack and carts.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow 5S.
• Follow safety rules and report issues to supervisor.

For more information, please visit www.orchid-ortho.com.**SHIFT**DET - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - Michigan)**A BRIEF OVERVIEW** The Operations Technician, Blasting, inspects incoming product, rejects, or approves product; attaches special tape or other material to the product to protect areas to be coating-free; blasts areas to be coated; removes tape and re-tapes product for coating process. This position requires hands-on craftsmanship and attention to detail. **WHAT YOU WILL DO*** Completes all required training.* Use pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.* Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.* Follow designated safety rules and regulations.* Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.* Inspect work, using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; calipers, pin gauges, measuring instruments and surface plates, etc. as required.* Perform daily/weekly/monthly housekeeping per 5S schedule.* Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.* Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products* Reinforces safety expectations. Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated.
