Job summary

Seed- in Denver seeks a hands-on Production & Packaging Associate to execute manufacturing, labeling, QA, inventory, and sanitation across all phases from cultivation to retail support. You will operate cartridge filling, heat-sealing, and packaging machinery, review batch sheets, and ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role requires reliable attendance, ability to work Tue-Sat shifts, physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds, and meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced cannabis operation;

  • Reliable work attendance required.

  • Be self-motivated with the ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent time and task management skills.
  • Packaging and/or manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Cannabis experience is desirable but not required.
  • Have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Must possess or qualify for a MED Key or Support Badge.

Responsibilities

Job description

Reports to: Operations Manager

Required Schedule

Tuesday - Saturday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. MST

OR

Tuesday - Saturday, 2:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. MST

Position Duties & Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

Production & Packaging

  • Execute all production, packaging, and labeling processes across product types.
  • Operate production and packaging equipment (cartridge filling, heat-sealing, RadSource, etc.).
  • Complete and review batch sheets with accuracy.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control on all finished products.
  • Conduct inventory counts, reporting, and organization of packaged goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across all production and packaging areas.

Cultivation & Plant Care

  • Maintain plant health in all growth stages (mothers, clones, veg, bloom).
  • Water, feed, prune, top, and manage plants according to cultivation schedules.
  • Take clones, and ensure proper labeling and compliance.

Harvest & Trim

  • Harvest plants efficiently, including defanning, hanging, and wet/dry processing.
  • Perform dry trimming, de-boning, and strain-specific trimming techniques with speed and accuracy.
  • Maintain proper labeling, strain tracking, and batch organization to prevent mislabeling.
  • Serve as quality control on the trim floor, ensuring accuracy and productivity of 3rd-party trim crews.
  • Assist with cleaning, packaging, and HVAC/filter maintenance on non-harvest days.

Compliance, Safety & Facility Operations

  • Maintain warehouse compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and SOPs.
  • Follow all security procedures and ensure secure handling of plants and products.
  • Track plant waste and assist with regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout all facility areas (veg, bloom, prep, trim, dry, cure, exterior).
  • Support cross-facility operations when needed and work all scheduled shifts.

Retail Operations & Customer Service

  • Verify ID and ensure only approved individuals (21+ or medical patients) enter beyond the front desk; maintain accurate visitor logs.
  • Present a professional, customer-focused demeanor while communicating daily specials, promotions, and product information.
  • Answer phones with proper etiquette, assist with customer inquiries, and route messages to leadership as needed.
  • Stay knowledgeable on all product pricing, promotions, medical vs. recreational menus, and cannabis product details (cannabinoids, terpenes, effects, brands).
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, printing, shredding, and maintaining organized records.
  • Support storefront presentation through cleanliness, organization, and general housekeeping tasks.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, creating a friendly and welcoming retail environment.
  • Assist leadership with product intake, restocking, barcode accuracy, and inventory rotation.
  • Communicate daily deals, specials, and expiring inventory to staff; report discrepancies immediately.
  • Support compliance by assisting Budtenders with transactions, checking in visitors, updating METRC records, uploading sales, and labeling new product.
  • Maintain accurate filing of manifests, invoices, patient files, and closing documents; complete all opening/closing duties per SOP.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Compensation Range: $20.50/hr to $21.00/hr (depending on experience).
