Job summary

Sunland Logistics Solutions, Inc. in Fountain Inn, SC, is seeking an Operations Team Member to deliver operational excellence by applying in-depth knowledge of customer products, procedures and processes in a safe working environment.

You will perform order prep, stock receipt, inventory controls, and space optimization on a day/evening shift, with a focus on quality, safety and teamwork in our warehouse facilities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 1+ year related experience or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedural manuals.
  • Practical math skills for inventory and measurements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule.
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products; label and store.
  • Perform inventory controls and maintain quality standards for audits.
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace and optimize space utilization.
  • Report discrepancies and cooperate with supervisors.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations Team Member is responsible for providing operational excellence for Sunland Logistics Solutions, Inc. customers by utilizing highly, in depth knowledge of customer products, procedures and processes in a Safe working environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Report any discrepancies
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to become forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other MHE certified.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities.
  • Consistently at work and on time.
  • Able to workday, afternoon and/or evening shifts.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1 year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Valid Drivers License or equivalent
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents, including protocols, standard operating procedures, customer’s orders, and pick tickets and any shipping documents.

REASONING ABILITY:

Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
