Job summary

Millstone Medical in Olive Branch, MS is seeking an Operations Team Lead (Shipping) for the 2nd shift (12:30pm-9:00pm). You will supervise shipping operators and coordinate tasks to meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

You will work under the Shipping Manager to assign work, monitor performance, and drive process improvements while ensuring accuracy of kit inspections and timely shipments. Prior shipping/leadership experience is preferred; strong communication and computer skills

Qualifications

• Requires one to two years of prior experience.
• Possess basic arithmetic skills.
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Ability to train other employees.
• Read and write the English language.
• Advanced inventory control (FIFO).
• Advanced blueprint interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• The Lead assigns work depending on priorities set by the Operations Manager in the Shipping Department.
• The Lead also ensures that operators are following required duties and tasks as prescribed by Millstone SCP’s and DWI’s.
• Assist in operational and quality issues that operators encounter during kit inspection and shipping operations.
• Recommend and implement changes to DWI.
• Assist in process improvement initiatives.
• Support and assist in the training of new operators.
• The position includes visual inspection of medical devices and instruments which requires the ability to detect defects.
