Job summary

Etched, a San Jose-based hardware company, is hiring a Talent Operations Lead to bridge strategy, analytics, and systems. You’ll report to the Head of Talent and shape how we allocate recruiting resources and measure talent density.

The role blends SQL/Python work with dashboards and internal tools, requiring comfort with ambiguity and a hands-on approach. You’ll influence leadership decisions and scale our recruiting operations as Etched grows.

• Design and build internal tools and scalable platforms that automate workflows and turn recruiting data into actionable insights.
• Own talent data infrastructure and reporting, from underlying data models through leadership-facing interfaces.
• Create clear, compelling materials for leadership updates, board decks, and strategic recruiting initiatives.
• Drive people analytics initiatives and high-priority special projects.

You’ll report directly to the Head of Talent and help build the operating infrastructure behind one of the fastest-scaling teams in technology. You’ll develop models and analytics that inform how we allocate recruiting resources, measure talent density, and make hiring decisions.

This is a high-visibility role with significant ownership. The best candidate will combine the analytical toolkit of a strong operator with development experience: someone equally comfortable analyzing a problem in SQL or Python, building an executive dashboard, and turning a scrappy internal tool into a durable platform. You’ll work on complex, cross-functional problems, influence leadership decisions, and directly shape how Etched scales its team.

• Experience in talent, people analytics, management consulting, strategy & operations, or another high-intensity operating environment.

• Building internal data platforms, workflow automation, or analytics products from scratch.

• Working with modern data and application stacks, APIs, and AI-enabled developer tools.
