Job description

As Operations Support, you will work closely with the Head of Mechanical Engineering to improve the operational effectiveness of the Mechanical Engineering organization.

Rather than owning engineering design work yourself, you will ensure that projects, stakeholders, and day-to-day operations stay aligned and on track. You will coordinate priorities across multiple robotics product lines, facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners, and remove operational bottlenecks so engineers can focus on building great products.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex environments, proactively solving problems, and keeping multiple workstreams moving simultaneously. You will become a trusted operational partner to the Mechanical Engineering leadership team and play a key role in enabling the department's success.

Your mission & challenges
Engineering Operations
  • Coordinate day-to-day operational activities within the Mechanical Engineering department.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines across multiple robotics product lines.
  • Follow up on action items and ensure commitments are completed on time.
  • Prepare status updates, reports, and management summaries.
  • Support planning activities, resource coordination, and priority management.
Project & Process Coordination
  • Coordinate engineering reviews, approval processes, and cross-functional workflows.
  • Collaborate with external development partners and suppliers to ensure smooth execution.
  • Monitor open topics, identify potential delays, and proactively elevate risks.
  • Drive operational improvements by helping establish efficient processes and documentation.
Stakeholder & Partner Management
  • Serve as a coordination interface between Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Product Management, and external partners.
  • Coordinate supplier communication and maintain productive working relationships.
  • Support the management of NDAs, service agreements, and engineering-related documentation.
  • Organize technical workshops, meetings, and follow-up activities.
Communication & Reporting
  • Prepare presentations for technical reviews, management updates, and executive briefings.
  • Consolidate information from multiple stakeholders into clear decision‑ready documents.
  • Maintain project dashboards, action lists, and operational reporting.
Leadership Support
  • Working closely with the Head of Mechanical Engineering, you will help ensure that strategic priorities remain visible despite a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • You will coordinate priorities, prepare information for decision‑making, and ensure that important initiatives continue to move forward.
  • You will serve as an operational coordinator for the Mechanical Engineering organization, enabling effective collaboration across teams and helping the department operate efficiently.
What we can look forward to
  • Exceptional organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A proactive mindset – you anticipate issues before they become problems and enjoy creating structure.
  • Experience coordinating projects, programs, or operational processes, ideally in an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non‑technical teams.
  • A structured, detail‑oriented way of working combined with strong ownership.
  • Technical curiosity and an interest in mechanical engineering or robotics. An engineering degree is beneficial but not required.
  • Proficiency with modern productivity and AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot or similar), as well as PowerPoint, Excel, and common collaboration platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and professional working proficiency in English.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information.
