Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Weekend 2nd Shift in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will lead a warehouse team, ensure daily operations run smoothly, and coach staff to deliver efficient service.

Friday through Monday 1:30pm–12am. The role requires at least 2 years of supervisory experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office and scanner equipment, and a flexible schedule. Bachelor’s in Logistics or related field is a plus.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Ensure efficient daily operations of the warehouse
• Supervise the team and provide training and coaching to improve performance
• Monitor work quality to consistently deliver exceptional customer service
• Demonstrate an understanding of the company quality policy
• Adhere to the GXO 7S program
• Communicate well with leadership, team members and other departments

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 2 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

It’d be great if you also have:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field
• 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience
• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
• Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
• Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
• Handle or manage tools or equipment
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
