Leesel Transportation Corp. in Brooklyn, NY, seeks an hands-on Operations Supervisor to support the Coney Island operation. You will oversee daily transportation operations, assist drivers and matrons, and drive safety and compliance to ensure reliable service.

This leadership role requires strong communication and coaching skills, experience in transportation or logistics, and the ability to manage onboarding and cost controls while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or operations preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and compliance programs is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily transportation operations and dispatch activities.
• Build relationships with drivers and matrons through field engagement.
• Monitor attendance, performance, safety, and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with DVIR, Lytx, DOE/OPT, and company policies.
• Assist with onboarding, coaching, and employee development.
• Help manage operational costs, including fuel and toll expenses.
• Partner with Operations, Safety, Dispatch, and Fleet teams to drive operational excellence.
