Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking an Operations Supervisor I in Cincinnati, OH, to oversee daily branch operations, supervise staff, manage the facility and budget, and drive safety and efficiency initiatives.

The role emphasizes compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, coordination with sales teams, and leading emergency response and safety audits. A relevant background supports effective leadership and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of proven operations experience.
• Knowledge of chemical distribution facility operations; SAP or ERP experience beneficial.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies; complete required training and record keeping.
• Support sales efforts in line with compliance, health, safety and environmental standards.
• Lead the branch emergency response team.
• Support branch health and safety programs and conduct audits with Branch Operations Manager.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate expectations to employees.
• Create a positive work environment and cultivate employee ownership of branch operations and performance.
• Participate in inspections by external agencies (DOT, EPA, FDA, DHS).
• Direct supervision for Tank Farm Workers.

About The Position

Our Operations Supervisor I is responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations of the branch, including supervision of the employees, facility, budget and driving operations related activities in a large facility.

What you’ll do:
